Superuser mode
The environment has a lot of rules defined that stop users from doing things that violate those rules. Users that have the Administrator role have the ability to override these rules using a Superuser mode.
Superuser mode can be toggled on and off with the Switch Super User Mode command on the document shortcut menu.
The following actions can only be performed with Superuser mode enabled:
- Add documents to the vault without wizards
- Enter a property value that does not match property criteria
- Change a property value that is normally read-only
- Change the value of a property that is normally hidden
- Leave a property empty that is normally required
- Move documents between branches
- Use Create New Version or Quick Change in situations that normally do not allow these workflows
- Skip release notifications
- No default property values are assigned and no actions are executed in the VBScript DocGenericEvent_BeforeNewDocument and DocGenericEvent_AfterNewDocument events.
- Move or create documents in any folder
- Ignore routing sheets
- Skip Release as Master Revision command confirmation dialogs
- Execute any workflow transition
